KKF Started A Project Named ‘Safe Motherhood- Right not Need’
KKF started a project named ‘Safe Motherhood- Right not Need’ to train midwives of the remotest village in Bangladesh. As per Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics there are few areas in Bangladesh like Tangail, Jamalpur, Rangpur where maternal and infant mortality is still very high. Government is taking their own initiatives, still not sufficient. To contribute more in SDG (Good Health and Well Being) KKF takes the initiative to start this project in Erendabari, Gaibandha District. The selected villages are the remotest chars. Fifteen unskilled midwives who are locally known as dhai are selected and from March 16, 2022 a six month long training program has been started with the help of trained trainer.
